READ OUR LATEST VOLUME

We’re proud to present the “All-Canadian” version of the IONA Journal. Within, you can read about community climate funding and its impact on economic development in British Columbia; minimum wage increases and acquisitive crime; centrality in inter-industry flows and their effects on product complexity during the travel bans of COVID-19; and the impacts of monetary policy on wealth inequality.

WHO WE ARE

As an academic publication platform, the IONA Journal of Economics is dedicated to advancing "the knowledge of the causes of things" through the economics discipline. Supported by the Vancouver School of Economics (VSE) and the Vancouver School of Economics Undergraduate Society, our annual publication showcases outstanding blind peer- and faculty-reviewed undergraduate research in economics.

Over the past quinquennium, the organization has expanded to include: the IONA Exchange, an online blog series highlighting student-authored articles on pressing global developments; IONA Reads, a compilation of resources suggested by economics professors; and IONA Asks, a novel podcast featuring the voices of VSE faculty, UBC alumni, and leading global scholars.
